St.Cyril School 2023 Fall Program

This program will run for 9 weeks (once a week every Tuesday) and will be held during the lunch hour 12:05 - 12:45 for up to 15 students, start date to be confirmed (aiming for Oct 24th).

Day 1: Pins

• Students will have the opportunity to create their own designs and proudly pin it to their shirt, jacket or knapsack. Students will use a button maker machine to turn their works of art into a wearable pin.

Day 2 and 3: Clay

• Clay is a very versitle and unique material that is used in a variety of art forms. During these two days students will learn how to knead, shape and sculpt the clay in order to create their very own works of art.

Day 4 and 5: Flower Press

• In this two day activity students will be exposed to the exciting world of flower press. Flower pressing allows you to preserve the beauty of the flower and can be used for home décor as well as for art projects. Students will first learn how to press flowers and will then use them to create beautiful works of art.

Day 6: Clay

• To expand on the versatility of clay, this clay activity will be very different than day 2 and 3 as students will be creating clay paintings.

Day 7: Mosaic

• With an unlimited number of combinations and designs mosiac’s make very beautiful pieces of art that can be displayed throughtout the home. On this day students will be using tiles of various shapes, sizes and colours to form a unique and one of a kind mosiac.

Day 8: Pipe Cleaners

• In this activity students will learn to bend, shape and combine pipe cleaners to create everything from basic shapes to animals and plants.

Day 9: Natural Plant Dye

• In this activity students will design their very own canvas bag using the natural colours from leaves.
